I love Peso’s.  I remember the first time I ever stepped into Peso’s and within minutes I was trying to figure out how to bottle everything about the place and take it back home to the Tri-Cities.  Peso’s has the perfect blend of food, atmosphere, service, and booze.  If you have never been to Peso’s you just need to go. That’s it. Just do it.  Now with that being said, here’s all about the food:

Migas

We started off with the Migas.  If you’re not familiar, Migas is a traditional Spanish and Portuguese breakfast dish.  It pretty much looked like an egg scramble with all sorts of delicious ingredients.  Bottom line, that’s what it was.  The flavors popped. I drooled. End of story.

The Chicken Fried Steak at Pesos is a meal for two.  Now, this isn’t the first time I’ve had this meal.  When I lived four or five blocks away from there, I would be at Peso’s late on a Friday and then earlyish on Saturday morning for their “Hangover Breakfast”.  The Chicken Fried Steak was perfectly crunchy while still being moist and able to be cut with a fork.  If you haven’t had it, you need to try it.

Stuffed French Toast

If you’re craving something sweet for breakfast, you definitely need to give the stuffed strawberry French toast a shot.  I think we all scarfed this dish down in about 2.5 seconds.  This definitely hit the spot and is worth getting again.

Crab Benedict

The Crab Benedict was surprising on a few different levels.  The first level is obviously how delicious it was but it was also because there wasn’t a heavy crab flavor to it.  The crab was light and didn’t dominate any of the other flavors.  The hollandaise sauce had a nice little kick to it that really spiced up everything.  If you haven’t had the this before, you definitely should.
