SEATTLE FOOD TOUR: La Isla

Aaaah, the taste of Carribean Food!

SEATTLE FOOD TOUR: La Isla

La Isla was a very pleasant surprise.  I had never had Puerto Rican food and based on what I’ve started with, I will be back for more.  This little treasure is in Ballard and you need to give it a go.

Something that I’ve been thinking about eating at La Isla is how much the food had a strong “comfort food” feel to it.  When eating this food, I could really taste the love that went into making it.  Each dish was strong on flavor, perfectly cooked, and left us feeling stuffed. Whether it was the Bistec Encebollado (Flank Steak), the Chuletas (Pork Tenderloins), or the Pernil Divino (Pork Shoulder), each of these entrees hit on all cylinders.

Long story short, if you are up for something delicious and different and have not had this particular cuisine, you definitely need to go.
