Dine N' Dish Review: Wild Burgers

If you haven’t been to Wild Burgers in Prosser yet, you should make the trip and try it out.  The owner, Jarid Leighty puts a lot of time and effort into providing delicious meals that will satisfy.

Let’s talk about what he was serving during our visit there:

Jalapeno Poppers

The jalapeno poppers are pretty solid.  They seem to be the perfect combination of cream cheese and heat.  Even if you can’t handle too much spice, these still offer more flavor than heat.

Boneless Wings

The boneless wings at Wild Burgers are a bit more unique than you might think.  Jarid makes sauces in house that you will not be able to find anywhere else.  When I’m on a tear for some above average boneless wings, here is what I’m looking for:

  • crunchy outside
  • moist and tender inside
  • mouth watering flavor

The boneless wings at Wild Burger hits the mark on all three points.  If you have tried boneless wings anywhere else, you must give them a try here.

BBQ Beef Sandwich

I’m a sucker for a good BBQ beef sandwich.  A few of the things I look for in a good beef sandwich are:

  • lots of tender beef
  • a tangy BBQ sauce
  • a perfectly toasted bun

I know that’s not exactly a tall order or very demanding, but when it comes to a great BBQ beef sandwich, this is what I expect.

French Dip

I love a good French Dip.  Not sure why I do, but I just do.  As you probably aware, a French Dip is a simple sandwich made of sliced beef, bread, and an Au Jus.  But you would not believe how hard it is to find a place that makes an outstanding French Dip sandwich.  When I’m on the hunt for a French Dip, I’m looking for these things:
thinly sliced tender beef
perfectly toasted bun
a hearty Au Jus

What makes the French Dip at Wild Burgers stand out is the flavor of the beef, the onions on top, and the flavor of the Au Jus.  The combination of these three components makes this an outstanding sandwich.

BBQ Bacon Burger

I’ve loved a good bacon cheeseburger since I was 5 or 6 years old.  I’m not sure why the combination of a ground beef patty, American cheese, and bacon works so well, but man it just makes everything all better.  When I need a bacon cheeseburger for whatever is ailing me, I look for these things:

  • perfectly cooked beef patty
  • thick cut, smoked bacon
  • perfectly gooey melted American cheese

Wild Burgers kicks up their bacon cheeseburger a notch or two with an exceptionally tangy BBQ sauce.  If you’re looking for a place that does a bacon cheeseburger properly, Wild Burgers is worth checking out.

Conclusion

Wild Burgers is definitely worth the trip.  Even more so, I know there is a well known burger place in Yakima that most people go to when coming to Prosser or the Tri-Cities area.  It would be worth the extra 45 minutes to pass through Yakima and press on to Wild Burgers in Prosser to satisfy any craving you may have.
